Cleaning & Reprocessing
The traditional approach to reprocessing involves receiving scrap, doing a modest sort, possibly adding impact modifier, and pelletizing. This approach yields varied results. The focus has been primarily on post-industrial resin, or “PIR”, such that the cost and difficulty of washing can be avoided. PIR also allows greater consistency if the incoming streams are repeatable. However, only using PIR limits a reprocessor’s customer base.
Reprocessors have a large growth potential that can capitalize on the ever-growing demand for recycled resin. With Brand Owner commitments and societal pressures, there is a large void for PCR that reprocessors can fill. GGC specializes in helping reprocessors increase capacity, improve quality, and establish a fair market value for what they are producing.
